American Institute of Architects, a premier organization for professional architects, on December 16, 2010, appointed Robert Ivy as their Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President. Robert Ivy was to assume the position as from February 2011.
The reason for this is evident. Robert has been an active member of American Institute of Architects and has the necessary skills to propel the organization even higher. As the CEO, Robert is expected to coordinate all the activities at the Washington D.C office. With a budget of $56 million and 206 employees, the organization’ s board is confident he will deliver.
Robert Ivy is a skilled architect and basically the best at what he does. Mr Ivy is an alumnus of the University of South Wales. There he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree. Robert Ivy the then went to join the Tulane University in a bid to further his studies. It was at that university that he earned his Masters in Architecture. All of his hard work and persistence has always paid off ever since. His big break, however, came in 2011. Robert Ivy’s career started 1996, after becoming the editor in chief of the ‘Architectural Record.’ Then after, he became the Editorial Director and Vice President of McGraw Hill Construction Media. Mr Ivy was among the selected Architects to designed National Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. Despite that in 1981, he held a position of principle up to 1996.In 2011, it was a successful and magnificent year, after he became the C.E.O of American Institute of Architects.
Due to his great role in architecture, Robert ivy has been able to bag numerous awards. In 2009, for instance, he won the Crain Award. This is the highest recognition for someone in American Business Media. Before that in 1998, Robert ivy won the McGraw Hill Award. This was simply an award for Management Excellence. He has also authored numerous publications on architecture.
